Laya is an orphan who is shy and not too expressive. Because of the environment in which she was raised, It was tough for her to face obstacles in life, and to take a stand for herself , she couldn’t raise her voice in hard situations. She was adopted by a family when she was nine years old. She could not adjust to the new environment as the relationship between her parents was not good, eventually they got separated after a few years.
Laya got mentally disturbed as the relatives of their parents started blaming her for the toxic relationship of their parents. They were against her adoption from the very beginning and considered her as unlucky. She was not able to handle those situations anymore, and she left from there and started living independently by completing her studies through scholarships.
After Graduation, Laya moved to Hyderabad for her job. She was very nervous about her new role, place, and people. There she met a girl named Keerthi, who is very strong, supportive, friendly, and stubborn. She is the reporting authority for her at their workplace. Laya got the attention of Keerthi with her excellent work and performance in the projects to which she was assigned. Keerthi took some particular interest in Laya, and they both started working together in all the plans of Keerthi. Keerthi guided and helped Laya in her professional career when she felt it hard to handle. As time flows, both became close as their thoughts and interests were similar. Laya felt attached to her as she thought that she found a lovely person to be with and started sharing her problems and about her past with Keerthi. Laya got inspired by her attitude towards life and started coming out of her comfort zone and became more expressive.
One day, she got the news that Keerthi had committed suicide by jumping from the top of a building and was admitted to a hospital by residents there. Her mind got blanked on listening to this, and she can’t even digest the fact that she committed suicide. She used to always look up to her when she was morally down. Now she felt potentially low and thought her life was worse than before.
She went to meet her at the hospital; Keerthi’s condition was worse. Laya grieved at her, asking her the reason for such a foolish act. Keerthi asked Laya to take her away from the hospital and not to ask any questions. Laya agreed to it and moved her to a safe place of her sister’s home, who is a medico.
While she was moving her, Keerthi managed to take her locket and give it to her, and Keerthi became unconscious.
They reached their sister’s place and made her rest there. Laya’s sister somehow managed to bring her some medicine and treated her. Laya was so sure that there is no point that the Keerthi had committed suicide, and they went to her cabin in her office and searched there. She didn’t find any, except a few gifts received from a person named Sukumar. She took those with her. Later, the same day, she found someone enquiring about Keerthi at the office reception. While he was about to leave, Laya followed him and went to the hospital where Keerthi got admitted previously. Laya follows him and watches that guy meeting the other guy in the hospital. The other person was anxious and calls someone and said that Keerthi had escaped from the hospital, and he was expecting that she might be dead as her condition was not good.
Later she tried to follow him, but she missed him. With a lot of questions in her mind, she went to Keerthi home in search of any information. She found her diary and a few other things. Looking at her chain in memory of her, she started reading her diary-keeping the chain aside on the table. She realized that she was in a relationship with a boy named Sukumar. She came to know that Sukumar had some dark secrets within him. Keerthi came to know about that, and Sukumar tried to convince her. This argument went at the top of a building. Sukumar got scared, where she might reveal his secrets to the world and pushed her from the top of the building and escaped from there.
Keerthi’s mobile got lost at the incident, and Laya tried to find the picture of Sukumar. In the searching process, the locket which Keerthi has given falls down, and the heart symbol attached to it opens, it shows the images of both Keerthi and Sukumar, with a line that indicates Keerthi loves Sukumar. She was shocked as he is the one who was found at the hospital talking about Keerthi’s death to someone.
On the other night, when Sukumar was in his apartment chilling himself, a woman (face fully covered) knocks at his door and stabs him in the stomach with a knife. He cries in pain, yelling, “ who the hell are you?” It was a woman with her face fully covered, she kills him and gathers all the shreds of evidence from his home and leaves the locket there.
The intermission will flow now, showing Laya looking at the locket; Keerthi on her bed; a masked woman carrying a pen drive in one hand and knife in the other side and leaving the pendant open at his body.
