The story reverts to present, showing Laya carrying the remains of a dead body in a pot sitting on a boat and traveling. Now the story returns to the past where Laya started reading the diary of Keerthi; the narration begins with Keerthi’s voice talking about how she met Sukumar and fell in love with him. Sukumar was an orphan, and he was raised all alone by himself. He tried to work on his own and was always in search of a job. One beautiful day he met Keerthi by chance, and they spoke to each other. Keerthi helped him in finding a job. As days passed, they both fell in love as his nature attracted her. Sukumar always used to search for shortcuts to success and earn more money. He always used to hate society and politicians, as he feels they are the reasons for his life and life of others like him.
Sukumar and Keerthi used to have a conflict of opinion in these matters. Later one day, Sukumar got connected to some drug dealers where he used to trade drugs and earn more money. He was slowly into other activities too. One day Keerthi came to know all about these when she visited his room and found drugs. When Keerthi questioned about all these, Sukumar tried to convince her that they would become rich, and he would leave all those when he pooled a pretty good amount of money. Keerthi tried to persuade him, but she was not able to. She moved from there crying.
As the days passed, Sukumar got addicted to the drugs and avoided Keerthi. He went completely blind in the greed for money and drugs. The diary ended up here, and it shows the pain she underwent all this day. The next day’s Keerthi got conscious, and she was unable to speak, somehow, she managed to talk and said to “get the pen drive,” and she passed away. Laya was weeping around her.
Now the story reverts and shows how she fell from the terrace; One day, Keerthi went to his room, and he was on the terrace having drinks and drugs. She found that he was into many illegal activities like kidnapping, women trafficking, and was planning to take part in terrorist activities. She copied the entire data into a pen drive, recording the shreds of evidence she collected in his room before he came down.
She went on to the terrace with those pieces of evidence in her bag. She asked Sukumar to leave all this immediately at the earliest and get surrendered to the Police. The argument went on, and he pushed Keerthi. Soon the pen drive in her bag came out from her handbag, on seeing this, Sukumar became very angry. Keerthi tried to run away from there; she was at the building corner and was surrounded by him. She slowly went back as he approached her, she got slipped at the edge, and he caught her hand. She was hanging, and he asked her to give him a bag. She denied, but he forcibly dragged it from her. She pleaded to rescue him, but in Infront of his greed for money and drugs, he can’t see the love of her towards him. He left her hand, and she fell from the top floor.
After the cremation of Keerthi, Laya wants to know about the pen drive that Keerthi had mentioned and started following him. She wants to take revenge against Sukumar for what he has done to her friend.
Now, the story moves to the scene, where Police were trying to gather pieces of evidence regarding the murderer. As the woman was utterly masked, Police cannot identify her; the only evidence they found at Sukumar’s was a diary of Keerthi and a Locket. Police are suspecting that Keerthi might kill him, as she was missing from the hospital and not found till now.
As Sukumar was into some illegal business, some higher officials were involved in it. They don’t want the case investigated furthermore as their names would come out if continued and closed the case concluding that Keerthi had killed him and escaped. The gang in which Sukumar was involved planned to kill her once she was out in the society.
Later that day, the news appeared everywhere in each news channel about the gangs and people to which Sukumar has worked, and they were shocked. The Police arrested everyone before they tried to escape as the news reached the Police first from an unknown source (The pen drive).
As everybody was shocked and was in a dilemma of how the news came out, then the camera will go to the scene where a masked woman was holding a pen drive and knife in her hand. Slowly the camera moves upward, and it was none other than Laya. She left the locket and her diary at Sukumar’s room to make everyone believe that she had done it. To mislead everyone, she followed the body language of Keerthi and used her clothes and things throughout the entire plan of gathering the evidence, so that even if someone spotted, they would think it was Keerthi.
After the cremation of Keerthi, Laya followed Sukumar for a few days and got to know about his activities and collected evidence. One night she dressed like Keerthi and went to his home when he was away. She searched his home and got the Pen drive and the other evidence, meanwhile, Sukumar entered the house in attacking mode as he saw the lock open. Laya bet him from the back, and he struck back, asking who she is. She is in the process of fighting, attacked him with a knife in his stomach. She bought that knife, with the fingerprints of Keerthi at the time of her death.
She reminds of her friend in her mind, left that diary, and the locket of Keerthi beside him to show her love towards him and left. Later she sends the evidence to the press and Police not disclosing herself.
At last, the opening scene where she was traveling on a boat with the remains of her friend Keerthi will be shown. She mixes it in the river, and the ashes of Keerthi will be floating and settled in the river.
As the ashes are flowing, the writer will tell the essence of the story with a background voice.
- The two perceptions of life, as seen from the eyes of Keerthi and Sukumar, both were born the same, but the paths they choose are different. Keerthi represents a good outlook, whereas Sukumar represents a lousy outlook.
- The real friendship is not just a mere connection between two people but is more like a bond that unites two people to one.
- Good always wins over bad.
